Georgia Athletic & Entertainment Commission!

Donald Geary

Ben Kiker

Kiker & Foster

Former two time ISCF Champion Andy Foster (Right) secretary for the Georgia Athletic & Entertainment Commission, (GAEC) spent his first year on the job learning, observing and listening to opinions and suggestions. Now in his second year on the job overseeing everything Boxing and MMA in Georgia – he's coming out swinging to improve things.

Only months ago Phil Hunnicutt's term had expired and Rick Thompson, the former head of the State Ethics Commission was brought in to replace him. Now Christopher Harris and Cary Ichtar have been replaced on the board by Donald Geary and Ben Kiker.

Both Geary (Left) and Kiker (Right) enter the GAEC with outstanding backgrounds.

At the 2007 IKF World Classic Amateur Kickboxing Championships, (Right) Ben's fighters took home 3 IKF World Classic Titles! Sonja Foster of, Dalton, Georgia, USA won the Adult Women's FCR Welterweight title fight where she faced and defeated Rebekah Verdin of Simpsonville, South Carolina, USA by split decision, 29-28, 29-28 & 28-29. Dusty Winkles of Lafayette, Georgia, USA won the Adult Men's FCR Light Middleweight Title when he defeated Brad Taylor of Warrenville, South Carolina, USA by unanimous decision, 30-28, 29-28 & 29-28 and David Boles of Dalton, Georgia, USA won the World Classic Adult Men's Cruiserweight FCR Title when he defeated Mostafa Sabeti of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada by injury stoppage at 1:42 of round 1 when Sabeti dislocated his shoulder and was unable to continue.

ISCF Pro & Amateur MMA
Approved Today

In South Carolina, USA

At the South Carolina State Athletic Commission meeting earlier today the Commission approved the ISCF, International Sport Combat Federation, as an approved MMA Sanctioning body for both Professional and Amateur events in South Carolina.

The ISCF's sister organization for Kickboxing, the IKF - International Kickboxing Federation has been sanctioning Kickboxing in South Carolina for years, but MMA was never approved until late last year. The ISCF approval now opens the door for even more ISCF MMA Action on the East Coast and it looks like that first event could be as early as late February or March, 2010.

"The Future For Sport STATS!"

What is 'Seeme Active Fight Sports?'

Quite simply, it enables you to permanently capture and automatically share your competitive results.

You can enter your results both through an iPhone app and through the
www.SeeMeActive.com
web site. You can share your stats, have results posted automatically to Twitter and Facebook, and even authorize others to add comments or even enter stats for you while you're competing!

Once your results are saved in Seeme Active Fightsports on the iPhone, results are automatically accessible in your account at www.SeeMeActive.com - and vice versa. Friends and family can receive notifications of the newly added data and review results as they happen from any device with web access if they can't be there in person.

"When my students compete it usually takes a couple days to find out how they did, but with seeme active fightsports we can get their results as they happen at the event."
Cassio Werneck (R)
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion

Competitors currently keep track of their results in a number of different ways. Some save results in a spreadsheet, or in a Word document, or in email, or on Facebook. Others rely on promoters to post results. And some simply rely on memory. Many don't bother because there's no simple, permanent solution. And those who do use one of these ad hoc methods to keep track of their results complain that it's difficult to share with others, that promoters' sites (and their results!) go away, or that they've lost their data after a computer crashed or an account expired.

So how do you use it?
Easy! If you have an iPhone, go to the App Store on either your phone or computer, search for "seeme active," and download seeme active fight sports. With a couple taps of the screen you can enter your upcoming (or past) events and results and get a summary of your competitive history.

If you don't have an iPhone, just go to
www.SeeMeActive.com
create an account, and start entering your results!

Who can see my stats?
It's up to you. You pick who you want to see your stats and results.

And as mentioned above, you can choose to have your results automatically posted to your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts. This is great for easily letting others who couldn't make it to your event know how you did when it happened. If somebody wants all the details, like the round, the time, and the way you won a match (e.g. by a clock choke at 1:19 or round 2 in a BJJ or MMA match; by pinning your opponent 12 seconds into round 1 for a wrestling match; by decision in a kickboxing or boxing bout...), they can check out your results on www.SeeMeActive.com from a computer, iPhone, or any other device that can view the web.

"As the world's largest sanctioning service for Kickboxing and MMA, it's important that we are able to verify the competitive histories and records for both amateur and pro competitors," said Steve Fossum, (R) President and CEO of International Fight Sports - www.IFightSports.com, (The parent company of the International Sport Combat Federation (ISCF) and International Kickboxing Federation (IKF). Fossum explains, "The seeme active fightsports service will help us with the research we do for competitors in the events we sanction." He adds, "As a former competitor, I realize how important it is to be able to keep an accurate fight record that you can share with others, from friends and family to promoters, and the seeme active service makes it easy to do this regardless of the promoter or event. This is without a doubt The Future For Sport STATS!"

Do you have a tutorial and other info?
Yes - go to www.SeeMeActive.com to read the tutorial and get other information about seeme active.

What other sports are supported?
The fight sports app supports Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Kickboxing, Wrestling, and Boxing. There's an app for Football, and there is also support for Running, Walking, and Hiking. Support for more sports is currently underway!

In What USA States Is MMA Legal?
And Where Is ISCF Approved and or Allowed to Sanction MMA?

We thought it would be a great idea to start the year off with some facts. It seems a lot of potential MMA Promoters are either misinformed or mislead as to what sanctioning bodies can sanction their Amateur and or Pro MMA events in various states. Many have been told by other sanctioning bodies different stories so to avoid any more confusion, we have made a detailed list below that will inform you all of the facts from state to state and what the status of the ISCF is in those States. Hopefully this clears up any past confusion.

Keep in mind that in States that do not oversee Amateur MMA such as Illionis, the ISCF is an Approved Amateur MMA Sanctioning body there. In addition, in states that oversee Pro and even Amateur MMA, like in Pro Boxing, MMA Promoters can still sanction along with the State Commission for ISCF title Fights.
