ISCF RULE CHANGES FOR 2011
Will Make Promoters Happy!

As many regulatory bodies do for a new year, the ISCF would like to announce some changes to event regulations for 2011. To begin with, Fighter Registration will no longer be mandatory. Starting January 1st, 2011, fighters who wish to be ranked in the ISCF Rankings will still be required to register. However, for fighters who do not wish to be ranked, the requirement is no longer mandatory.

For fighters who hope to someday fight for an ISCF Title, they would need to be pre-registered in the ISCF Rankings. So if you are a fighter with hopes to achieve an ISCF Title, it would be best for you to invest into the one time (Lifetime) $25 registration fee. The listing in the ranking alone is a great way for you to be found by MMA Promoters around the world. Just so these fighters know, according to our web tracking software, the ISCF Rankings are viewed by MMA Event Matchmakers from the smallest of events to the largest of events worldwide, not just ISCF Matchmakers and Promoters.

Several reasons were given for this decision. For one, it will make the promoters responsibilities a lot less, not having to worry about if their amateur fighters on their event are registered or not. Another concern of the ISCF was that many promoters were left to pay the "Fighters" registration fee. This has always been the responsibility of the "Fighter" NOT the Promoter. However, fighters would often tell a promoter that they would not fight on their event if they had to pay a $25 registration fee. Even though the ISCF Registration fee actually does something for them, some just never saw the advantages of being a legit Ranked MMA Fighter. When a promoter was paying the fighter registration fee, it appeared as if the Promoter was paying or sponsoring a fighter. This was a bigger reason this mandatory rule requirement was done.

Regardless, this change will see promoters who have been left with the responsibility of registering the amateur fighters on their events in the past have a considerable drop in fees for their events. Promoters will still need to send in their pre-fight bout list for approval a minimum of 5 days prior to their event, but getting it approved will be a much easier task now.

Adding to this rule will be these changes:

1: There has been a slight reduction to some of the ISCF Title Bout Fees.

2: Promoters wishing to combine ISCF MMA, IKF Kickboxing and if also desired, IAB Boxing to their events will no longer have to pay additional sanctioning fees for adding in sanctioning of the added rule style. All the promoter pays for is the fee for the main fight style. Since the general sanctioning fee for each of these organizations are the same, this would mean promoters would be paying a base fee of $200 (If paid 35 days in advance) for the sanctioning of all rule styles.

There will be a few other small rule and regulation changes which will have later implementation dates. These changes will be announced here on the ISCF News pages and will be given well in advance for those they relate to. So for now, Have a Great Holiday Everyone!
